A Taste of the Outback – An Action Packed Dirranbandi Adventure

Discover first hand what makes the great Aussie outback tick!

From our private Alliance flight to St George we head to Cubbie Station, the largest irrigation property in the Southern Hemisphere, and learn its fascinating story.

Then after an outback lunch it’s off to the home of Three Rivers Meats, specialists in paddock to plate, where we’ll experience the beauty of Black Angus cattle and Australian White/White Dorper sheep grazing across the floodplains of the lower Balonne.

Evening (and accommodation!) is at the famed Hebel Hotel for Heather Ewart’s book launch followed by dinner under the stars as we toast the spirit and enterprise of the extraordinary Hebel district.

Saturday morning breakfast is on the banks of the Balonne at Riversands Winery before our Alliance flight back to Brisbane… and many great memories to share!

Friday 28 June

6.45am – Depart Brisbane Airport
7.40am – Arrive St George
9.45am – Tour Cubbie Station
12.30pm – Lunch … Outback!
1.30pm – Tour Abarue Farm & Feedlots
5.00pm – Heather Ewart book launch and pre-dinner drinks
7.00pm – Sit down dinner / Sam Kekovich Panel hosted by Peter Lewis. Auction for RFDS.
10.00pm – Conclusion

Saturday 29 June

9.00am – Breakfast at Riversands Winery, St George
11.30am – Depart St George for Brisbane
